North America
Responsible for basically making the car look cool,
Aubrey's design know-how and intimate knowledge of vinyl
and neon make her a valuable member of the ARL
NorthAm team. Her graphics are scientifically proven to
make cars go faster. Aubrey claims that she can make a
tube of glass glow in any color since she's been a neon
glassblower for seven years. She also paddles.
Canoes. She paddles canoes.

Fel J. Cruz grew up in Salinas, California, the same town that John Steinbeck used as a backdrop for East of Eden.
Even though he never knew Steinbeck personally, he did spend hours in the library named after him and it was
within the walls of the John Steinbeck library that he learned about microbes, vacuum tubes, Hawaii, adventure,
and science fiction. Inspired and influenced by the works of Isaac Asimov, Arthur C. Clarke, The “Big Golden Book”
series, and of course, John Steinbeck, Fel has been planning this philanthropic adventure for several years.
Working in the pharmaceutical industry for the last seventeen years, Fel is ready to take on circumnavigating the
planet and starting a non-profit organization to raise awareness and funds for charity.
- Some Random Facts About Fel:
- I own 3 outrigger paddles. My first one was given to me by my cousin Jenny’s husband Cowboy Rosa who told
me that I should find a canoe club, learn to paddle, and race. I did that. I won my first race in May of 2004.
Cowboy died the next day. The last time I used that paddle was at Cowboy’s memorial service when I paddled
his ashes in an outrigger with his wife and family out to the waters off of Diamond Head. After that memorial
service I bought my second paddle. I bought my third paddle in 2005 while on vacation on Oahu. All of the
paddles were made in Hawaii.
- When it comes to outrigger racing, I don't row, I paddle.
- I kick butt when it comes to paddling a canoe.
- I’ve stage managed 17 plays, directed two, and appeared as a waiter/hippie in one.
- Even though I was active in the theater community for years and love being back stage, I sometimes fall
asleep when I’m in the audience watching a play.
- I can’t surf, but I teach it very well. Those who can’t, as the saying goes.

Providing moral support, a warm muzzle, and comic relief, Hoku is everyone's
favorite canine cinematographer. As the canine representative on the staff,
Hoku's input is invaluable in assessing squirrel threat levels, conducting
diplomatic negotiations with felines, and retrieving errant tennis balls.
